David, absolutely correct!

I'm not sure if people are aware of this or not..but if ONE
more expensive IP Telephony company like IDTC is "hot" to the analysts...ALL IP Telephony companies become hot.

In fact, what you want is companies like IDTC to exceed expectations in earnings this quarter to show the world just how hot this
IP Telephony arena is.

It WILL spill over to DGIV and other IP telephony companies.

So, GO IDTC! Drag the entire sector higher.

look at the profit margin on IDT only 3.1% (April, 98) I am hoping
DGIV can do better.

I hope so as well. Two factors that help are (1)foreign margins are typically much higher than US margins, and (2) DGIV's overhead is very low, because with JV's they basically get a customer base handed to them, instead of having to market.

That having said, I think that profit margins will equalize in the long term, as the competition heats up. Also, even if DGIV has much higher profit margins, it is offset by being in parts of the world that are struggling economically, at the present time anyway.

Hi David,

From reading the April IDT article you referenced, what would you say the author's intended message is with regard to IDT's breakdowns, along the lines of what is derived from (1) VoIP services, versus (2) switched and (3) wholesale SS7/C7 services?

>>As a refresher on IDT Corp read this article from Motley Fool and by the way look at the profit margin on IDT only 3.1% (April, 98) I am hoping DGIV can do better.<<

Regards, Frank C.

In the information age, networking and strategic alliances are some of the puzzle pieces for creating a successful next gen telco. Observe the latest news about IDT Corp., teaming up with Frontier Corp. in a 52 million dollar deal to offer "bandwidth and maintenance."

It is a matter of time for DGIV. (IMHO)
