Andy,

I've put this into MetaStock and have been looking at it (DELL) vs the MACD 8-17-9 + StochRsi(14) + ParabSAR (MSRP) combination and it seems to have a longer perspective. Is this right?

On 1/15/98 (22.90) a buy signal occurs and then a sell signal on 2/3/98 (26.52) for a nice 3.62 gain. We're out until 2/27/98 (34.97). I don't understand why it had us out during this period while the MSRP gen's a buy on 12/30/97 (21.27) and an exit on 3/2/98 (33.91). I can understand this if its trying to protect from "dips" but the next buy signal by your fav is on 2/27/98 at the beginning of a dip..

Maybe I'm not looking at this correctly?

Dale

Andy,

Ok, I've got it now - You're applying my own formula for Buy and Hold! You changed the entry conditions just to catch me off guard but Brooke's post got me straightened out..
