<< behavior without honor or integrity his actions belie a breath taking recklessness which should not be resident in the WH. >>

The recklessness of the actions and the willingness to cover up out of embarrassment are actually the main problems I have with this affair, not the lying or the actual coverup (although those bother me too). Based on the dress, and the job search, and Clinton's unwillingness to butcher Monica's reputation as he did (adn continues to do) to all his other detractors, it looks as if Monica either really meant something to Clinton, or she was blackmailing him. Security clearances are not available to people that engage in reckless sexual behavior for that very reason. His past affairs were not a very well kept secret, but there was never any proof. Any actual proof could have gotten Clinton in serious trouble. Who else had such proof, and how is/was it being used?

Let's say that Clinton survives this one. The Chinese probably have sufficient evidence of campaign contribution wrongdoing, that if they chose to have one of their people suddenly cooperate with that investigation, it would absolutely bring down our current government. That would make Clinton even more susceptible to blackmail or coercion, since he knows that the evidence is out there. What other military technology or other concessions would he be willing to give the Chinese to prevent that?

This may sound a little crazy, but really think about the possibilities before you decide whether Clinton should stay or go.

jlallen,

After watching the President's testimony for the past 2 1/2 hrs, I can say without hesitation that I am proud that he represents our country to the world. I deliberately held my final opinion on this episode until this video was aired -- it has convinced me that Mr. Starr and his wolfpack have tried to entrap Mr. Clinton & criminalize his private life.

It is obvious he is trying to be perfectly honest -- that does not include trying to be more than helpful or in effect "helping the questioning lawyers to do a better job."
