A paragraph that caught my eye from a Warburg Dillon Read Research report dated 08/28... VALUE: The 1H98e results will be published on September 17th. We will be looking for more details on precisely why Alcatel are so confident that growth in Telecoms sales and orders for FY98e will reach double digits (after 5.7% sales growth in 1H98 which implies a very poor 2Q). Certainly Asia and Germany contributed to a very difficult comparable in 2Q, and Transmission, Submarine Networks and Space are all likely to show a strong increase in 2H. sf
