**Off-topic**

School funding is so far off topic that I'm sure we'll both be hooted off the thread if we go into too much detail. Suffice it to say that IMO computers in schools programs are a gimmick that fails to address the disconnect between how kids learn and how schools teach (or fail to). I'd rather spend my tax dollars on libraries and museums and science-oriented teacher training, thanks.
