This is a good thread. It is not overwhelmed with compulsive posters nor invaded (so far) by any paranoid denouncers.

Japan seems to have resumed its losing ways this evening and Globex is down convincingly so far. I now think Japan is just going to have to do in slow motion what the US did quickly between 1929 and 1932--down about 90% from its record highs. The P/Es there never have sunk into buying ranges.

It's incredible to me that the country can remain fixed on the White House soap opera while the world economy falls apart. It may be that in the end the Republicans will get blamed for distracting Congress and others from the problems that actually affect us. Totally forgotten is the reality of thousands of nuclear weapons still available to many countries. As if our local PD had a battalion of heavy tanks and Apache helicopters ready for use against an adjoining municipality.

I wish our own crash would go on and get over. It's a lot more fun to bet on the upside of the stock market.
