Re: "What saith thee?"

Many companies are at or approaching price levels that I would call good buys on a valuation basis. That observation, however, assumes that there is not a world-wide depression on the horizon. If we move into a 1930's-like depression, than the current valuations aren't so good after all. <G>

I'm currently about 65% into equities (long) and 35% bonds (mostly U.S. Government). I guess time will tell if this is appropriate.

Best wishes,

I2

Have you changed your short term outlook due to today's surprising and rather strong reversal?

BTW Telescan's short term trading signal, BBR gave a SELL signal today ( it went negative despite up SPX day). So maybe today's rally is a suspect?

I said: "Also, how will your read change if the S&P does close over 1047?"

You said: "... I'd expect a run towards 1076SPX, and if that cleared, up to 1110SPX, before the next waves down began."

Well, 1076 is only 10 points away. The market could easily move that high by opening tomorrow. I guess the question that remains is whether 1076 contains the move or whether we see 1110. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.

Best wishes,

I2

>>I'll jump off that bridge if and when we get there...<g>.<<

I guess by your absence you are either no longer short or have jumped off a bridge. You will be missed. <g>
