like i said before i agree on cymi long term....
but perception by the investment community is what matters short term and they are down on semi-equip and if cymi posts a negative quarter or a bad conference call....
cymi isnt scaling down for nothing...they see rough weather ahead....
and the market in general will have rough times soon also..

long on cymi....later

In addition, the barrier to entry is high.

Would the barriers be so high? Its not like someone would have to build billion dollar fabs or invest hundreds of million in R&D.

Staffing seems to be the big barrier to me and all that would take to overcome is a handful of Cymer engineers being hired away. I also think that there would probably be plenty of sharp engineers working in the defense industry who could be lured away.

I'm new to Cymer; please tell me why I'm wrong.

Regards,
Jeff
