Good post, Johnathan. Environment, social-security, race relations... are only a few of the things where we HAVE trusted President Clinton and he HAS delivered the goods. You can also add the issue of abortion to the list. I can never trust the GOP on any of the above issues. Dipy.

As for the budget surplus, when are we going to see some budget cuts to bring the government spending into line with taxes? These surpluses are a fiction as they are all Social Security surpluses. At least, we don't have the Democratic congress that gave us 30 years of deficit spending and huge entitlement spending increases.
