NPR reported this morning- in a soundbite type of newsclip- that White House lawyers had shifted strategy and had admitted their client committed wrongdoing. Possibly this was in response to Democrat Senators telling them to curb the smokescreen of legalisms. NPR did not give any real details.

I was amused to hear Sleazebag Bill recommend that folks not get "bogged down in the details", but to keep things in broad perspective. His minions on this thread seem to be doing his bidding by wishing the public could have no knowledge of these details.
