Methinks people are underestimating EARNINGS!!!! Mr. Luke attributes the movement solely to takeover speculation. Mr. Reddy believes today's movement is short covering. I'm sure both of those are factors. But earings for ASND are going to be good. Earnings for CS are going to be good. Earnings for COMS are going to be good. This will all be good news for all of these companies. Wasn't it EARNINGS news (for ORCL, INTC, DELL) that helped spark the recent rally? Isn't it EARNINGS fears that are contributing to bearish sentiment? To paraphrase a cripled President: "It's the earnings, stupid". No need to look too much further than that, IMHO.
