<See any news anywhere to account for a positive showing today?>

No specific news. Depressed networking stocks have been doing well recently. For example, CS has moved more than 30% recently from about $7. COMS has moved $5 in about a week in expectation of good earnings Tues after close.

Since MRVC has a book value of about $6.50, it's not surprising that it's finally moving. Also, low caps generally have been performing well of late. I see a further move of $1-2 in the next week. IMHO a good bet.

Steve,
Sorry about the delayed reply to your question. I think all of the reasons given probably explain the run up. The rumor mill is probably the most important factor.

In regards to the assertion by someone that the principles in the company own too much to sell out. I don't think that's true anymore.

Got that from Thompsons.
My impression from the conf. call was that they were no longer dead set against selling out. The poison pill was just to make sure that any potential acquirers talk to the board before they make a public offer. If it gets taken out for $18 I'll actually break even. So much for the fine luxury car I was going to reward myself with when I hit my goal for the year. Fat chance now.

Cheers,
Bob
