***OT*** A story request............... DON'T LOOK DOWN WeesuckerJack was a man who saw Canadian geese flying overhead and wanted to become one of them. He collected Canadian goose feathers for a long time, and then one day he made wings out of them and fixed them to his arms, and called to his geese brothers in the sky to help him fly. They swooped down and carried him up and set him into flight, which is what he has always wanted. He flew along with them, and was able to turn when they turned and dive when they dove, but it was very tiring. "Don't loose your concentration!' they told him. 'And whatever you do, don't look down!' "The boy just laughed, and said, 'Don't worry. I won't look down.' "They flew for many miles, and the boy was happy, and remembered to keep looking up. "At some point, they flew over an Indian village on a river bank, and some young girls were paddling a canoe. They looked up and saw that he was a man flying like a goose, and they started laughing and calling to him, telling him to come down. They waved and called and giggled, and eventually he just had to look down. "He had not seen a woman in a while and was struck by their beauty and forgot where he was for a moment. His wings faltered, and he fell like a stone right through the boat. Luckily, he didn't hurt anyone, but he hit his head hard and had to be pulled to shore by the Indian girls, who just made fun of him for not flying straight, and left him there to recover on his own. "He was left with nothing, and his wings washed down the river, he was very sad. "He was foolish to want to be like the geese, a real 'sucker'...and even more foolish to look down...that's why they call him...... TsioKawe
