<<this is so clearly a political assasination attempt, it robs the electoral process of its rights and responsibilities>>

Care to justify your "political assassination" label- or is that just more bs from the apologists for Sleazebag Bill? Sounds to me like you think you make some sort of point simply by smearing your political opponent. The House is dealing with serious charges of obstruction of justice and perjury brought forth by the OIC. If you think the public should be shielded from these messy details Sleazebag Bill warns us about, perhaps you should articulate your case. Instead, your mentality is more at home with hurling unsubstantiated smears.

FYI, the House is in the early stages of impeachment proceedings. It has a constitutional obligation examine the charges that have been presented to it.

<<I personally would much rather have a Clinton continue in office than have our political system undermined in this fashion. >>

Your touching concern has a rather hollow ring. Allowing the President of the United States to commit perjury and obstruction of justice would undermine our political system far more than impeaching and convicting an individual president. If destroying the individual presidency of a man who has dishonored his office and committed serious criminal offenses is required to uphold the law and our system of justice, so be it.

Larry

P.S. For the nth time, Clinton's problems are no longer primarily about private consensual matters between him and the First Slut. They are about specific charges of perjury and obstruction of justice as described by Mr. Starr's report to Congress. So- I know it's difficult- but kindly try to stick to the topic.

You fail to help your cause because you fail to address the issues at hand. You continue to whine about political motives and special interest groups behind closed doors, but nowhere do you put forth a creditable defense of the actual charges of impeachable conduct.

Well JG, that's why we also elect a Vice President.
