My guess/wet dream is that INPR is getting some smarts and will
buyback on the cheap ride it up on good earnings and double their
investment in 2 months. Additionally they will have more shares to
reward Del for thinking up the name change.

Can somebody clarify this share buy-back exercise for me?

In December last year the company raised $25m from a handful of investors, which everyone presumed was "expansion money" - Del himself indicated that another acquisition was in the plan. Now the same money will be used to buy Inprise shares - an additional 4.9m shares at today's price is, probably coincidentally, very close to $25m.

The parameters of the deal are outlined in the June 10Q, including a note on the subsequent exercise of some options. It would probably be useful if someone comfortable with the jargon were to explain the impact of these transactions - the option prices quoted seem a long way out of the money, which to my untutored mind could indicate additional dilution.
