Gary, I think that jach and some of the other short timers have a good perspective. But as others have noted on this thread the long term perspective is where most people are on this threat including yourself and me! I frankly can't think of a better long term hold than Cisco. If I was a trader (used to be years ago) I would probably look at LU, Ascend and 3Com. I own 3Com for a short term pop with the buyout rumors ( since oct of last year). I guess I'm biased being an engineer and knowing a lot of friends of mine who work in the internet business (engineers and managers) who only buy Cisco! Come back and prove me wrong in 5 years! Juniper is trying to swim up a verrry fast moving river that is cutting new channels every month. Isn't investing fun! regards, Eric
