>>What does come through, however, is the disconnect between the Starr report's portrayal of the testimony, and the testimony itself.<<

Really? I've read the President's Jones depo and there is absolutely nothing in the Starr report that can be construed as "disconnect" as it relates to the facts. The only thing we have learned new today as a result of the President's GJ testimony is that he seems to have a remarkably poor memory and didn't pay attention to what his own lawyer was arguing relative to the Lewinsky affidavit. Remember, the entire basis of his refusal to answer the Grand Jurors' question which pertain to his denial of "sexual relations" is based solely on his personal interpretation of the definition of sex and "tense". There was no legal basis for his refusal to answer, just his own self-serving "appraisal". Anyone else would be held in contempt. bp
