md1, I think 3+ points in the last two days, and some 4 points last week or so is a pretty solid move to the upside, and indeed a nice breakout.

However, I agree that we still need one blockbuster of a day. IMO, this rally has been mostly due to flight-to-quality -- investors seeking a large company, with solid earnings and fundamentals, is non-cyclical, and in MO's case pays a hefty dividend (very attractive in these days). IMVHO I don't think this is due to settlement rumors... methinks that announcement will provide us with the pop we are looking for, until then, instability in the global markets will continue to cause MO to see nice inflows of cash.

Looks like we cleared the 52 week high - at least on an intra-day basis. Volume was definitely strong at 2.3X normal volume. Let's hope for some follow through tomorrow.
