While the compliments are flowing I would like to extend mine to all seasoned GMGC followers especially Sea Otter, Seconds Out and Kurt Goebe, I dont mean to disregard anyone as this is one of the best boards on SI . Not being as astute with the technical aspects I find your posts very informative I do however try to throw info to the board as I find it! Having reviewed the Portico demos reading posts and news watching the stock price daily researching GMGC on line and asking Qs over the phone I will say this the execution is coming together the steps being taken are calculated and performed according to plan, however tunnel vision is not a problem and GMGC is going forward as dictated by the progress of the initial roll out! Kudos to GMGC and their employees! As the big boys align themselves with the technology GMGC will emerge as a player! I believe Microsoft is focused on this market! I wouldnt be surprised to see announcements concerning how they fit in soon. Buying more GMGC as I see fit.

Hello Otter,

GMGC seems to be continually pushing up schedules. It sounds like the radio spots will include a demo and not just copy about the service. I hope so. More dramatic.

What I continually think back on is GMGC's purchase of Netphonics. Not only for it's technological fit but for the confidence it implies by GMGC in their future revenue stream. In my mind, as pragmatic as Dr. Markman appears to be, this purchase would not have been done if something down the road werent fairly certain. Granted this was probably the reason for the 5 + mill convertible preferred announced on 3/5/98, but still: Who sticks their necks out like this when 5 days later they report quarterlies with no revenues or none likely for the next 9 months?

BTW, When rereading the press release I noticed one of Netphonics customers is France Telecom. Irony? Perhaps, but as the old Yiddish proverb goes: "Nothing runs undivided. Nothing runs unmingled."
