Rich news on Jobs 9/1/98 demo hinted at new browser features Don't know if OS 8.5 will contain a new browser or additions to the default browser . Later news (9/14) reported Web Search companies' concerns with Sherlock capabilities which may indicate it does much more than Windows's current find through search function . Background retrieval to a user file seems like "push" technology with data processing capabilities . IBM seems to be working on it and its new search "Clever" uses logic (algorithm) to refine its results : pcworld.com Don't know enough about Sherlock or Clever yet to determine if they equal or outperform the Window's "find" applet you mentioned. However the silence on Windows "find" by the Search Companies may be indicative that AAPL's Sherlock is different , or they fear rankling MSFT . Regards, Jim K.
