am sitting south of Dijon - greetings from here!

lost a lot of money today - these Francais take 34 ffrs (!!!) for a pint of Guinness, and it even isn't a pint but 0.5 l. (true pints have 0.57 l) Grrrr!

Nice recovery like Berney said! Tried to get some SNE-calls but was too low with my limit. Am > 80% invested - no argues against a recovery from my side.

Tomorrow a video with BC + Monica in action?!

MG: Re: albeit one session early

You got that right. It represented (another) lack of discipline. The macro indicator definitely did not give me a green light, but I got so focused on the stock that I lost track of that little fact. I hate when that happens! Had a chance to get out flat today, but declined the market's gracious offer.

Spent the day updating my charts. As of Friday, the Index was up 5.1%. The 71 Big Boyz that I continue to track are up 7.9% for the year. Interesting Trivia: 38 are beating the Index with a median return of 22.9%, 29 are negative with a median negative return of 13.3%, and only 4 are between zero and the Index with a median return of 2.4%. The DJIA was actually at a - 0.2% at Friday's close. So, I would expect that gap to close; either the S&P comes down or the DJIA goes up. I vote both up (to 10/9) with the DJIA outperforming the S&P. We'll see!

Had CMB targeted today at $44, but, alas, I missed it. I hate when that happens! Fortunately, the market will continue its volatility and give me another opportunity.

I don't follow PHG, but isn't amazing what market has done to that stock's price. So much for Buy and Hold! A friend and I were talking today about how difficult it is to pull the trigger when every time you turn around, the vast majority of stocks can be had at a better value. Leads to triggeritis or triggerphobia. <g>
