Michelle, It's only 6 wks 'til Ms. Feinstein & her fellow democrats face re-election to the House......every incumbent congressperson's mantra is "above all get re-elected." Their self-preservation instincts wouldn't allow them to fight for the President so close to an election. They were not quite sure until today what the final general public reaction to his predicament would be. In fact, the important polls are now being conducted. The Nov. elections were the reason all this information & the video were dumped into the public's lap so quickly......the Repubs are hoping it will help them win more seats. It's still not clear if that will be the outcome......the next few wks should be interesting, as usual:o) Ann
