I am arguing that the Constition sets a high bar for impeachment, and not a low one. The margin of an election is irrelevant to the Constitutional standards. And Nixon's offenses easily met the definition of High Crimes and Misdemeanors. It involved misuse of his office to cover up illegal election tampering, and massive and extensive use of several federal agencies to illegally injury his political enemies. Had the worst feared facts concerning filegate directly involved Clinton, or a Clinton coverup, I would have wanted to impeach him over it. Doug
