Like most of us, i really think that AMZN is over-surevaluated. Then when i saw the premium asked for the Oct calls, i said to myself, why not to sell short 10 of OCT 80 calls (when AMZN was at 78-79). Over 8 000$ for 4 week is not really bad theses days. Just before the lunch, i smell some bull sign so i covered my calls by an equivalent number of stock at 80$. Good idea......

If the stock tank as i hope, i just have to sell back those share and wait the expiration day. If Amzn goes to the roof, i will still have made 10% in one month. Not really bad too.

Claude

So there won't be any confusion, I bought 500 AMZN @ 88 1/2, 1,000 @ 85 1/2, and 500 @ 84 1/8 on 9/9; 1,000 @ 78 13/16 on 9/10. So I'm long 3,000 shares. If I sell it, I'll let you know.

Are your selling-price-targets flexible? Is this a short-term hold/trade?

Thanks.

>> Craig asked me why I was long Amazon (I'm not sure why, it was in response to a post about Yahoo's new higher margin targets), <<

Just trying to taunt you into dumping AMZN the joke company and buying twice as much YHOO.
