David, Not as risky as being long this stock! This is the worst price performance of a stock that I can remember after a 10% buyback announcement. The only reason I covered is that I feel Del will time the repurchases to keep the stock price above that magical $5 level. If you don't start to see some significant price advances from here, then the play will be to find out when the repurchase has finished. At that time the shorts (me included) will be back in force if there is still nothing but talk from Del. Cube
