Starr's claim that the Pres. abused his office by asserting both Executive, and attorney client, privileges, for test by court decision, is I think -- simply unbalanced. The clear mark of a man obsessed. Laughable. Absurd. Not worth more than a moment's consideration. Indicative of Starr's state of mind.

There is no question, whatsoever, that the momentum towards impeachment of the Radical Republicans was very much hurt by the testimony of the Pres. today.

At the same time two things are true.

Not much factual that is new came out today.

And the Pres. made a very good argument for his own interpretation of the key facts.

I.e., much changed on re: reasonable interpretation.
