I'd love to see the ad, but don't watch enough TV. So I just sent the following feedback to the Dell webmaster (feedback is at wincgi2.us.dell.com -- if this interests you please message him (her?) as well, so as to give a "show of hands" for people interested in seeing their new ads online -- also mention that they should put all future ads online as well, I forgot that before I hit send). I'm also once again offering the book _Nano_ by Ed Regis to the thread; see my PS for more info. There are 95 left -- and I may not stop at 100, either; it depends on how Dell performs. ;-) Cheers, KenB ======================================================== Sent to Dell webmaster: Topic: "Things I Need" Hi there! I love Dell, the stock has been doing wonders for me. Heard you recently got 200 shares, very happy for you! If you've been following the Dell thread (at techstocks.com ), we recently went through a projection in which we determined that if Dell *only* performs as well as it has in the past 6 years (a split every year -- and the forecast is for even MORE rapid growth!), then $15,000 today turns into $960,000 in just 6 years. $15,000 buys 250 shares (at $60), so you'll be a Dellionaire in 7 or 8 years! At any rate, the reason I'm writing to you is I just read on the Dell thread that you have a new TV ad out (with your new ad agency). I'd love to see this ad, but don't watch enough TV to catch it. (See Message 5806199 for the post.) Would it be possible for you to put this ad on the web site, in RealPlayer or (and!) Windows Media Player formats? I really like this idea -- mixing media. And it allows people to view it on demand, rather than having to catch it "when it's on" (and there are no program guides for it, either. ;-) The only drawback I can think of to this idea is bandwidth. Apart from that, I see only good results -- word of mouth, increased traffic, more sales. Would you please let me know, if this is decided against, what the reasons were? Thanks in advance, Ken Beal PS I'd like to buy you a book: _Nano_ by Ed Regis. See amazon.com and type "nano ed regis" in the search box and it'll take you right to a description. If this book interests you, just send your snail address to kenbeal@bigfoot.com. (A Dell address is even better -- it keeps your privacy, and people aren't home during the day anyway usually.) There are no strings to this. Owning Dell has allowed me to purchase thousands of these, and I've only bought about 50 so far. I've offered a book to the Dell thread, for the first 100 people to respond to me either through private message or email, and only 5 people so far have replied. (This could be because the thread gets so many posts, few people read every one of them; or could be because most Dellheads can afford the book themselves and are concerned about privacy. I appear to be generous but actually I could be anyone behind this screen. I say this not to alarm, but to demonstrate my understanding.) PPS If you look closely, the red asterisks on this page look like little hangmen. Either that or it's bedtime. ;-) ========================================================
