Steve, The problem was with the school system, not you, and it is getting worse as science is dumbed down to please the Wrong wing. The main focus of most high schools now is to have the best football team. Del

Steve: We will probably avail ourselves of the CA public education system once the Helenator hits school age. Our budget is drum-tight right now, so finding the big blocks of disposable income a private school soaks up is simply not in the cards. I'm wondering what I'll do about finding and filling the gaps that're bound to occur. Some sort of supplemental home schooling program will need to be devised. The toughie for me will be motivating the youngster to learn all this obviously extracurricular stuff. I wonder where the balance between learning and "fun" or a child's natural tendency to watch Power Rangers will lie. Oy, fatherhood.
