I consider AMZN and YHOO's as the bubble of this bull market. And they are still stratospherically valued. I do admit that there's thick smoke of fear. But I don't believe we are anywhere near value buyers' market. So would liquidity once again drive this overvalued market still higher?

Do you subscrive to TA or charts? SPX and DJ charts are prettynegative as far as I can see (below 200 day MAV etc. )

Bill, I have a different view on "I also think that much speculative excess has been wrung out (check out KO's collapse from 90 to 60 and
the rock bottom prices for many of the most speculative stocks - the micro caps and small caps)."

The most speculative small caps out there and there are a ton (1,000+) of Nasdaq & OTCBB that literally have no book or reason to exist. There are also many living dead companies that are propped up only by hype. Capital has been all too available for these bags. Finally, even "good companies" in the small and micro cap arena are overvalued by the discounted cash flow method which is the average that these things trade around (discount rate being their 5 year growth in earning) in the long run. By that measure, the good small caps are still 30 to 40% overvalued.

For small caps to become worth buying en mass, the large caps must capitulate. KO is still trading 2X it's growth rate. If it as a "premier brand" deserves a higher market multiple, that multiple should perhaps be 1.2X it's true growth rate. Thus the Dow will need to have broken down to at least 7,000.

Stay short the small cap crap. AG.
