Thread, More stuff on the Philippine Airlines closure. inquirer.net Rumours of these deals were leaking out some time back, and I'm pretty sure that the reports are accurate. The whole story should be reviewed by anyone who thinks privatisation is a universal good. Corruption is not limited to the public sector by any means. Steve

Steven, granted the options are not very appealing. We are fast approaching a time in which our leaders will have some very important decisions to make. Not a great time to be saddled with a lame duck President who is more likely to keep pouring money into the black hole rather than face a crisis spawned from making a tough decision. I think that Russian story referred to earlier was on BBC news...still don't have the link. Let me know if you find it. JS
