>>>Checkfree might just want to integrate B of A's 50,000 to 100,000
customers just to keep their payment engine out of another new competitors hands.

That is the good news. If BoA would outsource, it would only be to CheckFree. No way in heck that BoA would outsource to CitiPoint.

>>>Maybe Nationsbank will give B of A bill payment business to Checkfree in exchange for a credit on the cost of the combined future payment/presentment business of the merged bank.

What did everybody do die?......back to the question if the #1 software company, the #1 one credit card processor and the #2 bank on earth are 2 years behind in technology.....then excuse me what chance in HELL does BofA have to get something going?

BTW THE DELL DEAL IS BIG....I've traded GTW, CPQ & OWN DELL....DELL DEAL IS BIG FOR EXCITE, INTUIT & CHECKFREE.

In that order of importance.....it's all about exposure to distribution of a service....banking, brokerage, etal....which mainstream bankers don't understand, and MSFT confirms by saying 'BUTTONS SUCK'. Keep listening to them.

MY RESPONSE....MONICA ME....I'LL TAKE THE BUTTON ON A PORTAL DEAL ANYDAY.

ie...CKFR guys out there selling the Bill distribution system can site all the different distribution points for consumer contact besides a 'bank' where this service can be offered....i'd perfer they get them all yesterday.
