I noticed inactivity on all the boards today, but still, TSIG's price didn't match with the others. It just doesn't make sense to me. I need another few neurons.

Maybe the distraction of Ken Starr's salacious sex scandal will wane and we'll get back to business?

And THEN maybe it will start to make sense,
Raven

Lane,

I believe that all Net Commerce will suffer the same competitive linkage possibility. It's the nature of the beast and if a particular company wants the link of another particular company on its site they will have to travel through that site as though they were a customer and decide if the linkage value offsets the potential diversion of its customers.

With that said, I also believe that it's important to remember that the majority of our customers come to our site with a Music Card already in hand. CCI customer loyalty will therefore be substantially greater than the type of customer loyalty generated by traditional marketing methods.

I personally would not be all that worried. There will be other cross linkages that will present even greater challenges as we evolve. IMHO, this was certainly not a mistake but a calculated decision to enhance our site with easy access to either company's browser software.

Rich

My understanding, albeit limited, is that the IE and Netscape links are on the Compactconnection site to provide access to potential customers to download the software from either of those two companies to allow for secure commerce using updated browsers. Many of the earlier (antiquated) browsers do not allow the SecureServer option. Therefore, including those sites is not a miscalculation, but a thought out decision to provide customers access to on-line purchases.
