Len,

Thats exactly it. I did very well in my discount broker days but am having a difficult time managing my losses out of the pay-for-order-flow environment. One of the advantages there was the obligation of the MM to honor the current inside price.

My exiting experiences with ISLD have been horrible. Cost me 3 comms yesterday to get out of a small MSFT position as it gave me it's classic odd fills as the market moved (forcing me to cancel and resubmit my order).

ARCA has been better but more expensive as it seems to go straight to INCA when it "knows" it's my order <g>. And SOES has been a license to steal since the July rule changes.

The system is definitely built for those coming from a MM environment themselves (a good part of those owning broker-dealers or writing educational materials). The jury is still way out on it's usefulness for little 'ole technical traders such as myself. I'll know more as I eliminate my own mistakes from the process.

One thing I can't do is ditch all my strategies yet to trade in the usual L2 supply-demand, find the AX, etc mode. I want that to add to my toolbox after my MA/bollingerband/pattern plays work better in this environment.

Thanks for your help.

Alan
