Amigo Sergio:

Its dark down here in lurk mode so I pop up every once in a while to see if the sun is really out. Thanks for he welcome home. Will take a look at TRID, ESST, and ZOOM as I have time. WIll also pass along one that I have been watching for a bump in the next month or so (I hope). It's a penny though so it should be right up Ken W's alley.

Best regards to all. Good fortunes in your trading endeavors.

TRID

Senor Sergio:

You always had an eye for the good ones. I too like your favorite. TRID strikes my fancy for several different reasons.

AMD, which holds over 50% of the sub $1,000PC CPU market as of June 1998, delivers high performance processors based on the robust Socket 7 infrastructure and has allowed a low-cost, high-performance upgrade path to continue to exist. The advent of the Super 7 solution early this year allows a 100MHz interface to the frontside Level 2 cache and main memory system. This is equivalent to a jump of two processor speed grades on the system performance. That performance increase has prompted a renewed interest from a number of chip manufacturers willing to meet the challenge of enhancing the Socket 7 solution even further by integrating functions on a single chip.

The share price is rebounding off its lows having gone all the way down to 2 1/2 and now back up to 3 1/32.

BIG insider purchases over the last several months. Insider buying start in July when the stock price was in the upper 4 range.

TRID has teamed up with VIA (large supplier to Compaq) to develop the Socket 7 core logic for the sub $1000 PC arena. In short, the sub $1000 PC arena now gets a boost in the quality of the graphics available - ie they can offer similar quality as the high end products. Socket 7 technology is used in 3D Gaming.

The computer markets are going to see a lot of price consolidation over the next several years. As prices come down, more and more households will add computers to their homes. Any company that can improve the quality of the sub $1000 PC while maintaining their low price advantage is going to do well over the next several years.

With the recent developments in Socket 7, some of the larger chip developers are now integrating the technology into their products.

While the company has had a poor showing with steadily falling stock prices, it seems TRID may have hit the bottom and is on the road to recovery. With the heavy insider buying, this stock looks like it could continue to gain share price for some time yet. Low risk with good potential for reward. I like it.

Just my quick read and my opinion only.
