If it weren't for short squeezes and MM manipulation, they would still think he's nuts. Except for an insane stock price, his company has nothing going for it that I can think of it. If he had submitted a business plan for Amazon as his thesis and showed how he plans to lose 7 dollars on each order, sell 500 million of junk bonds (oops, he only gets 300 of that for the company, the rest is interest since his bonds are so worthless that nobody will buy them), then he would have failed.

If however, the class was on how to take money from suckers over the short term via the US equity markets, he would get an A.
