Hi Mike, I'd appreciate your thoughts on these two cos please.
I was trolling for some unloved and lonely bottom feeders, and noticed that Callaway golf (ELY) is at a 5 year low p/s (1.02) and p/b(1.64) and more importantly there has recently been numerous insiders buying
biz.yahoo.com . I'm aware that the big bertha clubs have been loosing mkt share but the ratios and insider buying have me interested. Perhaps the carnage at ELY has been overdone and there's the potential for a trading pop to 12-13ish?

Another company that has had substantial insider buying lately is pathogenesis (PGNS develops drugs for the treatment of serious, chronic human infectious diseases). Since the beginning of Sept, PGNS has jumped from its 52 wk low of 22, to close at 32 yesterday. Insiders have been buying lately in the 26-29 area. What can you tell us about this co? Have (do) you followed PGNS?

Thanks Mike

Do you have a fair value price for Sepracor? Biotech seems to have bounced strongly over the past few weeks, though the cash-rich companies have fared better than the cash-hungry 2nd and 3rd tier. How do you come up with price targets for biotech stocks? Do you look at the brokers' puffy future earnings estimates?
