Doug, sorry - I don't know how. Under "My computer" and then "Control
panel" there is an icon labelled "internet". I don't think my
browser uses it. Maybe there is a clue there.

funny, every time i open msie (which is not very often) i am prompted with the question do you want to make msie your default browser?. i'm always afraid i'll inadvertently hit the yes button <GG>.
