The problem is consumers still prefer NT5, and nobody knows Solaris, especially the
individual users. That is why SUNW will die in the next five years, which is not a secret. And the market is expecting SUNW's last day as a company. Just look at its stock, going no where. No argument here, I know Solaries is also a good product, but the problem is it did not sell. So, pls just do not be to engineering minded. You need some business sense.

Mr. paul,

You should read the investor thread on the Oracle web site. Ray Lane, President of Oracle, stated that 39% of all databases are shipped for NT and it is increasing. While 22% of databases were shipped for Unix and it is decreasing.

As Ray said, the movement is toward NT and away from Unix and Oracle plans to be in the front.
