I forgot to mention that only a few people get subsidy on housing now. And they are concentrated in several professions, such as middle school teachers. I have four sisters and one brother in Beijing, and only one of them haven't bought the apartment. So this time the government did indeed get rid of the majority of subsidized housing.

I am glad to hear that Zhu is threatening the hedge funds. They have other ways to make more money than shorting HK currency and stocks. They just want to bully the weak, the small and the poor, just IMO.
