I share many of your concerns about the IC. The power it has and the way it has come to be used as a tool of revenge and political expediency by members of both majority parties is a travesty.

As to the Supreme Court, it's influence and character changes over time, as does that of the other two (original-g) branches of the govt., but I wouldn't want a govt. without it.
