dennis, I was wondering this AM while I watched the futures in between the 24 hours a day commercial station about how if earnings are going to be negative for the S&P to what extent things can go down from here? Especially if Asia is fixing their problems, then the other problems outside our own might be improving. I tend to think the pride that got japan into this mess is going to keep them in the same mess, and they arent going to make the needed reforms to help. Earnings is it, if we get them the market will run in the short term, if we miss over and over, then who knows, but 7000??? I hate to think how that would scare the pants off alot of 50 year olds with their retirement nest egg flying in the wind..
