THREAD MORON: A person who posts repetitive messages to a thread, either positive or negative, that add nothing to the discussion, and become annoying.
I want and expect needling, humor, and the normal cut and thrust of good exchanges on these threads, but since this the newest "thread moron" has become annoying to the point that the thread needs to be "wormed", I thought I would "vent my spleen" about these types. The "Moron" has nothing to do with intelligence, these people may be brilliant, but they show a "12 year old mentality" by coming on a thread of a stock that they don't like, and making repetitive negative comments, and, in the case of one of our morons, repeated personal insults.. I find the GO, DELL, GO! or the My 10 year old has made a fortune buying AOL! types just as aggravating. The negative people on the Microsoft thread seem to be EE's who hate Bill, but are usually interesting. These kinds won't go away, but it really is an eye-opener to see the level of immaturity that people of this intelligence display on SI.
