Woooaahhh. Leave the Supreme Court alone. Some criticism is fine, of course.

As for Starr, I think the massive leaking which Steven Brill has alleged, and the Press has absolutely covered up, is highly likely. And extremely disturbing.

It is intimately related to abuse of Starr's office. It has nothing to do with his personal life. It goes to the heart of his grabbing of power and turning the media into an eight month functional ally, building up a drumbeat for impeachment. Before the accused has been fairly confronted with the evidence before him and allowed to make his case, etc., etc. It is truly outrageous.

And yes, I do think the press should be FORCED to reveal information on such types of leaks, which violate judicial rules and processes. I certainly do not think the press should receive an absolute pass on refusing to reveal the sources of illegal leaks to criminal investigators.

(We need to develop some more balanced rules here. I don't think your garden variety whistle blowing leaking should be subject to revelation by the press. But usually I think illegal leaks should be. Certainly no blanket pass. The truth is that prosecutors are afraid to go after it, given the unanimity of the press in preserving its absolutist self defined privileges.)

Tripp should also be investigated as well. I'm less heated about her, though she certainly disgusts me. Here transgressions are a less systemic threat.
