It said its Presario 1250 is the first computer to feature a new line of high-performance microprocessors optimized for notebooks built by AMD. The computer features AMD's mobile 300-megahertz K6 processor and is priced at $2,400, including the Internet rebate. Compaq also announced two notebook models running 266-megahertz chips from either AMD or Intel, priced at $1,699 and $1,999, respectively, including the Internet rebate.
