Hi all, It's nice to know I've been missed by my good virtual friends. But, I've got way too much work for the next couple months. The waste of a fine speculatin' mind -- what's America comin' to <vbg>. I've learned a ton from following every nuance of ASND and the networkers on a minute-by-minute basis. I'm envious of ya'll. I've had to turn off CNBC and become an off-and-on SI lurker again. As an owner of a small litigation support firm, we just landed our biggest case yet and have to commit 100% devotion to get it ready for trial. I'm comfortable with my long-term positions in various companies. I'm going to let my serious research over the last year work for me for a while without constant monitoring. I apologize for my recent unclear posts. I'm long a bunch of ASND shares (my biggest position) at roughly $44 (after the SRA mess). I shorted at $49 and covered at $46 for a short-term trade due to silly options rumors. I've made a ton of money this year on a long-term ASND position and excellent trading in ASND in June-July. For what it's worth, for obvious strategic, competitive reasons to fight CSCO, NT/BAY and various European entities, I strongly believe LU will buy ASND for $75/share or $15B in mid-10/98. Yes, $75 is the top of the expected range, but ASND will not sell for less given its opportunity to grow to a $10B company with or without LU. And, ASND will do very well over the next 2-3 years even if LU decides on a risky strategy (i.e., time to market and embedded customer relationship problems) of in-house R&D and start-up acquisitions. Keep up the good work on one of the best SI threads. I've enjoyed the sleuthing over the last 6-9 months during the rise from $22-55 as ASND's fundamental prospects grew stronger and stronger and LU's interest in ASND became clearer and clearer. Take care, djane
