Isn't there also a $50 a month exchange fee for the levelII?

Ahhh... here's the great decision: If you pay a year in advance, they THROW IN the Level II fee for free ($50/month). So now your real-time costs $79/month instead of $99/month, AND you get free Level 2. Sign up through one of their partners (Dreyfus), and you'll get a $75/month credit for 5 trades/month. Now we are down to $9/month Add $8.50 for exchange fees for NYSE and AMEX (I assume L2 covers Nasdaq), and you are up to $17.50/month for real-time quotes with Level 2. I'm waiting for my 1st month's bill to verify all is as expected, but if so, this is a really good deal. Here's the link to their pricing page:

How fast are the screen updates? I've seen some LIVE feeds that ran 5 or more seconds behind.

This is hard to tell. I watch the T&S and L2 display to see my own trades show up. I enter them via Netscape into a Dreyfus screen, hit OK 2 or three times with subsequent screens, then swap back to SEOL to see my trade queue up in the L2. Question: How do you tell if your feed is behind if it is the only real-time one you have?
