The announcement you posted may have relevance in that Motorola was listed in the annual report as the sole supplier of the ATA controller used in the CF card from SNDK.

The time window for any negative pre-release of earnings seems to be closing as we are entering into the quiet period during which the company does not generally comment on operational issues.

Isn't SNDK integrating the controller on the Flash chips themselves?

Independent controllers will be irrelevant for the low cost producers, I believe. SNDK is still one of the low cost producers, but maybe not the lowest.
