Re: Intel vs. AMd chip. This is the beauty part of the Dell business model. With virtually no inventory, Dell is not stuck with an overpriced chip and can cut new deals and pass the savings along. IMO the lower cost of the chip will not pressure profit margins. I assume Dell doesn't have some sort of long-term contract with Intel which locks in a certain price for a chip.

Patrick, as you noted, the problem will be with Intel and their battling it out with AMD. Dell, and the other box makers, will sit on the sidelines and buy from the most cost efficient supplier.
