These law firms seem to smell blood. This is number three now? Anyone know how this works? First one to settle, or can each firm arrive at a settlement?

Wechsler Harwood Files Class Action Against Alcatel Alsthom On Behalf of Former Stockholders of DSC
Communications Corporation

BusinessWire, Tuesday, September 22, 1998 at 11:04

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1998--Wechsler Harwood
announces the following:
All institutions and persons are hereby notified that a class
action lawsuit was filed on September 22, 1998 in the United States
District Court for the Southern District of New York, on behalf of all
persons or institutions who acquired American Depository Shares of
Alcatel Alsthom (NYSE:ALA)("ALCATEL" or the "Company") by means of a
prospectus (the "Prospectus"), which was filed as part of a
registration statement (the "Registration Statement") issued and
disseminated in July 1998 in connection with Alcatel's acquisition
(the "Acquisition") of DSC Communications Corporation ("DSC").
If you acquired your shares of Alcatel pursuant to Alcatel's
acquisition of DSC, you may, no later than November 23, 1998, move the
court to serve as lead plaintiff, provided you meet certain legal
requirements.
The complaint alleges that defendants violated the federal
securities laws, including Sections 14(a) and 20 of the Securities
Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, and Sections 11, 12, and 15 of
the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, by making false and
misleading statements in the Registration Statement and Prospectus
concerning, among other things, defendants' and Alcatel's failure
to disclose that Alcatel would fail to meet projected sales and
orders, which resulted in the overvaluation of Alcatel in
connection with the Acquisition of DSC.
Named as defendants are Alcatel and certain of its officers
and directors.
Plaintiff seeks to recover damages on its own behalf and on
behalf of all persons whose shares of DSC were exchanged pursuant
to the Acquisition. Plaintiff is represented in this class action
by the New York law firm of Wechsler Harwood Halebian & Feffer LLP,
which has extensive experience representing shareholders in class
actions and has served as lead counsel on behalf of shareholders in
many such actions. The firm's reputation and expertise in
shareholder and other class actions have repeatedly been recognized
by the courts.
