I don't want him to resign either.

At least not until after the House impeaches him. Then I don't care what happens with him. If he survives the Senate, he finishes his term a weakened IMPEACHED president. If the Senate boots him or he resigns, then the criminal actions will kick in unless Gore issues a (likely) pardon.

But I think his transgressions will be a good test of our system. And regardless of whether he is ousted, I hope the system is stronger after this.
